What is Systemic Business Coaching?

A business is a human relationship system - empowered and limited by systemic rules, some of which are neither obvious nor intuitive. But systems theory and systemic rules can be confusing - for example, in many human systems it is against the rules to challenge or even to know the rules!

Like consulting, our business coaching is outcome oriented, dealing in action plans, feedback, inspiration and consequences. Like consulting, we provide structure, support and feedback as we help you remove blocks, attain goals and realize visions. Our systemic coaching provides process expertise, rather than content knowledge. We help people in business systems identify, create, locate and acquire missing knowledge and skills. We coach leaders to manage human relationships.

Systems Theory . Chaos Theory

A human system finds knowledge and produces skills for members of that system. Members can also use skills developed or acquired by the system during an earlier time. However, members of a system may be unable to use or even consider using skills developed by other human systems.

Members of a trade union may not understand nor appreciate the more complex skills used by management. Even within a simple business, relationship management is a necessity.

How does our Systemic Business Coaching work?

We begin with what the leader, CEO or founder wants and where the business is now. We discuss the important relationships and your relationship history. Then we discuss your costs and benefits. We often use online meetings and e-mails to support your chosen goals.

Subsequent steps focus on what works (not what's wrong) and on practical future solutions (not past problems). You probably want positive, pragmatic change strategies without undesirable side-effects.
