Quantum thinking hypotheses are fun to
consider but are not practically testable. However, quantum thinking offers
wonderful ways to explore the human potential inherent in relationship systems.
Archaic, Classical & Quantum Thinking
The differences between archaic, classical and
quantum thinking centre on beliefs - on assumptions about reality. Archaic
perspectives assume that reality is governed by spirits, demons and gods.
Classical perspectives assume that reality is governed by natural laws. Quantum
perspectives assume that reality is not governed, rather it
behaves as an emergent complex system.
In archaic thinking, reality can be controlled by
appeasing esoteric agencies. In classical thinking, reality can be controlled by
applying natural laws. In quantum thinking, reality is chaotic and ultimately
unpredictable, yet reality can be influenced by applying systemic rules.
|
Quantum thinking does not replace
archaic or classical thinking. Archaic thinking is useful when making
decisions about esoteric or spiritual principles. Classical thinking
is useful when making simple decisions in controllable environments.
Quantum thinking is useful when making complex decisions in situations
with relationship pressures and ambiguous objectives. |
Research in quantum physics shows that much
of our visible reality is illusion. Our cosmos is composed of invisible,
unpredictable and paradoxical energy. At a macroscopic (classical) level,
we can predict how accumulations of this energy will behave over time.
But at a microscopic (quantum) level
we cannot predict the behavior of a single electron for a single moment. (See
chaos & coaching)
Consider quantum tunneling; electrons can pass through
impenetrable barriers by already existing on the other side. Can this be real? This paradox is used in
superconductivity. Quantum tunneling may become a feature of super-fast
computers and other practical applications. But what do you believe?
Consider superstring theory; that everything in the universe - all
particles, forces and even space-time itself - consists of minute strings that
vibrate and spin in a multi-dimensional superspace. Can this be real? Are you
a composite of sub-atomic, multi-dimensional energy fields? But what do you believe?
Consider the simultaneous existence of parallel universes.
If reality is quantum-mechanical, then our universe should have much more
structure than a collection of classical entities. The universe should be
called a multiverse. But what do you believe?
Quantum Thinking, Beliefs & Reality
|
... the structure of the multiverse is determined by
information flow, and the universality of computation ensures that by studying quantum
computational networks it is possible to obtain results about information flow
that must also hold for quantum systems in general.

Why is the amount of antimatter in the universe so very small?
Research at Brookhaven in 1965 revealed a slight violation of symmetry in the decay of
neutral kaons (sub-atomic particles). As a result of this violation, a slight excess of matter
survived the Big Bang. This world and your body exists because of a quantum
violation that few people have ever heard of. Can you believe in kaon decay?
Soul is said to be an immaterial essence of every individual.
Soul is an inner spiritual principle, a source of bodily functions and mental
activities. All human cultures include beliefs in a soul that
exists apart from the physical body. Can you
believe in Soul? (See
Psychobiology of Soul)
Beliefs are not facts. Your reality is what you assume to be
true, based on what you believe. Your beliefs are either summaries of your
experience, or (more likely) pre-digested summaries that you accepted from
people you trusted. Your beliefs will support your
happiness ... or your
depression.
Common consequences of clinging to obsolete beliefs include:
- Age Regression: You demand that the world follow
your childish expectations
- Emotional Stress: You experience overwhelming anger,
sadness or fear
- Relationship Chaos: You use toxic relationship
and communication skills
- Addictions, Compulsions & Obsessions: You
attempt distraction and escape
- Depression: You retreat from a life that does
not make sense
Probably, you accepted most of your beliefs about
the world from your early authorities - your parents, relatives and
teachers. Hence many of your assumptions about reality may be based on obsolete
concepts and are in urgent need of revision. Quantum thinking can help you
update your beliefs.
Quantum Thinking & Human Potential

For millennia, your ancestors pondered the creation of
order. They told simple stories that described the emergence of
order from primordial chaos. These archaic chaos theories are
rejected by classical science, yet provide interesting metaphors for
understanding modern
systems theories, quantum thinking and chaos coaching.
Can you, for a moment, end a classical
obsession of trying to understand the world by statistical evaluation?
Instead, consider evaluating dynamic relationships between members of
complex systems. The principles of quantum thinking can both challenge
and assist you to update your view of reality.
Do you want to discover and express your human
potential? Do you want to explore and extend your limits? Quantum thinking and
systemic coaching offer you tools for finding innovative solutions. How can you
let complex problems teach you how to solve them?
Quantum Thinking & Leadership
If you want to evaluate or change a system, you
may first need to update your beliefs about reality, the system
and yourself. Instead of statistical analysis you can use
systemic leadership.
The principles of quantum entanglements offer you
radical insights into how the world works. If
observing a system affects the system, your observations are forever out of date. If
when evaluating a system you become entangled in a system, your evaluations
will be biased. If by predicting a system's future behavior, you affect that
system's behavior - your predictions may be self-fulfilling.
When you plan, direct, or control
human systems, are you using tools derived from archaic (esoteric)
thinking, classical (Newtonian) thinking - or from modern (quantum)
thinking? Quantum thinking helps you create effective management
solutions for unexpected problems.
Quantum Thinking & Systemic Coaching
Are you attempting to change or transform
human systems such as families, teams or organizations? Are you
trying to use logical, linear plans to affect change? Are the results of
your initiatives somehow uninspiring and shallow? Do you know why?
A systemic toolkit helps you update your
paradigm of yourself on this planet. You are a member of many relationship
systems. You are a member of your past, current and even future
relationships: your friendships, teams, partnerships, political
parties, and of your regional and national cultures.
|
Systemic diagnosis can help you perceive
organizations as interactive human systems, rather than as esoteric or
classical machines. Systemic coaching can help you manage and change human
systems ... for example you might join a system and then change yourself.

Quantum Thinking & Systemic Entanglements
Quantum entanglements allow simultaneous action
at a distance, at speeds in excess of light. Human entanglements
often show up as compulsions and inappropriate behavior.
Systemic entanglements are
often experienced as chronic inappropriate emotions ... see
Identity Loss. Some
entanglements are:
- I am entangled with people I have hurt (I experience
chronic guilt)
- I am entangled with an ignored dead person (I
experience chronic sadness)
- I am entangled with an ignored victim (I
experience chronic anger)
- I am entangled with an ignored hero (I experience
chronic anxiety)
- I am entangled with two people in conflict (I
experience chronic conflict)
- I lose access to my own identity (I experience chronic
dissociation)
Systemic entanglements can ruin individual lives and harm
entire relationship systems. Systemic coaching offers effective and
timely solutions for these and other relationship problems.
Quantum Thinking & Systemic Rules
Members of human systems follow systemic, not classical,
rules. Some rules are explicit yet it may be against the rules to discuss
certain rules. Perhaps consider a military unit, a hippy commune and your family
as you read these examples of systemic rules... (also see
Morphogenetic Fields)
- Boundaries: Which boundaries can be flexible and
which must be rigid?
- Coalitions: Who can align with whom for what
benefits? Who cannot align with whom?
- Communication: How may communication rules
and meta-rules be used?
- Culture: How does the system identity itself?
(religion, status, ethnicity, ...)
- Development: At what developmental stage is
the system frozen?
- Entanglement: Is there differentiation or are
members entangled with each other.
- Hierarchy: How must
authority be displayed? Who is really in control?
- History: What traditions and history must remain in
active memory?
- Maturity: What emotional ages (emotional
maturity) must members express?
- Metaphors: What symbolic interactions
can occur between members?
- Power: Who makes important decisions for the
system and for each sub-system?
- Roles: Who must make
trouble? Who must rescue? Who must distract?
- Values: What regulates the systemic
values of the system and each sub-system?
Quantum thinking and systemic coaching
offer you ways to assess and change human reality.

and nuclear physics for 18 years before founding Soulwork systemic coaching
