and safety as we take you where you want to go. Prior to your trek, we send
you information relevant to your health, the locale, climate,
food, and what to bring. Relax - you will trek to high altitudes with guides
trained in mountain safety and first aid. We design our treks to ensure that
you acclimatize, and we arrange alternative itineraries for those at risk.
We make every effort to follow this itinerary, but as
this is an adventure in a remote mountain region, we cannot guarantee it. Weather
conditions, river conditions, road conditions, vehicle breakdowns and the
health of group members can contribute to changes. We try to ensure that each trip runs
according to plan; and your easygoing attitude is our greatest asset!
Ghorepani -
Poon Hill 7-day Trek

Ghorepani - Poon Hill Trek is a wonderful trek into the
Annapurna region. Your trail winds through patchwork valleys, dense mossy forests
and past icy waterfalls. You get many tantalizing views of the high Himalaya
mountains, and find whole horizons open to you on the trek's high points.
 |
The Annapurna region and Poon Hill
offer some of the best trekking in Nepal. Enjoy walking through spectacular
mountain scenery - through charming Nepalese villages, dense rhododendron
forests full of birds and sub-tropical valleys, below the Annapurna mountains
where picturesque Machhapuchhare (Fish Tail Peak) dominates the skyline.
(The reality of Poon Hill is overwhelming - better than any picture). This
trek can be made all year, even in winter when higher treks are impossible. |
We climb Poon Hill at dawn to enjoy one of
the most spectacular mountain-scapes on Earth.
|
Peak Experience: As the rising sun touches the
snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Annapurna
(8,091m) and other mountains slowly manifest out of the dark, like magic
before your eyes. Don't miss this. |
 |
If you enjoy
nature, mountains and beautiful
landscapes, you will enjoy this rewarding and relatively easy trek. We can
arrange longer and more demanding treks to your taste.
